Talent+AI as a Service - Breathing new life into Recruitment

🗓️ Back in the early 2000's, I was privileged to join the inspirational Potts brothers at Jobsite, as a Solution Architect. I knew zero about recruitment but I knew about systems design and running tech projects. It was an immense journey, learning about market disruptors, the precariousness of start-ups, M&As, display advertising, SEO, recruitment, building offshore teams & much more.
🗓️ Next, I fully immersed myself into media and advertising at Publicis, where it turned out I also knew very little about media and advertising. But I had joined at a time when the sector was also disrupting, with social media advertising taking off and DSPs, VOD and programmatic advertising about to explode onto the scene. I was learning at the same time as the rest of the world; it was often frenetic as we tried to keep ahead of the curve and Publicis went through its typical many iterations of itself. Let's be honest, being a CTO here was exceptionally challenging and exhausting, but the knowledge I earned here is immeasurable.
🗓️ As you know, I've been running my own Recruitment Agency brands Media Recruit & AI Recruit for a few years, combining my odd mix of media & advertising, technology and recruitment experiences. Here's the irony though: I never liked recruiters, they would drive me nuts with their pushy sales tactics, irrelevant CVs and unvetted candidates (ok there were some exceptions, but not many). I was determined to be better, to do recruitment the right way, ethically, honestly, compassionately, transparently, etc etc. But we're fighting an uphill battle here because the damage is done - recruitment has a bad rep. It turns out, one woman's good intentions alone can't fix this.
🗓️ Which brings me to today! I've had a disruption itch burning for a while now. Good intentions - nope, that's not disruption. It's a desire to push the needle more and there are 2 key motivators behind this:
📌 The pain tech leaders in our sector are going through right now, with the pressure to implement AI, to automate, to be first, to reduce headcount, to deliver efficiency and ROI, to produce a viable product that clients will buy. The pressure from the top to "use AI" that often lacks the due diligence of any normal tech project. Swap the impatient kids in the back car seat yawning "are we there yet?" to Executive leadership in their swivel chairs asking "have we got an AI Agent yet?", and today's CTOs are scratching their heads asking "to do what exactly?"
📌 The pain both candidates and talent teams are facing in today's market conditions, coupled with the bad rep recruitment has and that nothing has changed since the early 2000's. Whilst it's always a pleasure to match wonderful talent and companies, it's not especially intellectually stimulating. Yes folks, I am wasting my talents and you all deserve much more from me.
So, I am about to breathe new life in to what we do.
💫 Putting my talents to better use, here's where the murmuration of my thoughts have landed. I am thrilled to announce that Media Recruit and AI Recruit are now offering Talent+AI as a Service (TAaaS). Sounds good right, but what does that really mean?
🏆 TAaaS is workforce consultancy for building today's workforce and that's no longer just about people. 2026 talent is made up of humans + technology + process. TAaaS is about knowing where the power of automation, AI and technology makes sense, where the brilliance of human minds and thinking is needed, and how to make sure the two work in harmony through beautifully crafted processes. It's about reducing your hiring needs.
🏆 TAaaS is capability consultancy for those new AI investments, tech capabilities, marketing capabilities or new territory expansion. It's about business case and use case validation, it's about ensuring your investment has legs and will deliver meaningful impact, along with the strategy on how to make it happen and the initial steps to get you off the ground. It's about ensuring your success and preventing costly mistakes.
🏆 TAaaS is talent optionality and market insights. It's about real-time information and early visibility of talent to inform your talent and capability strategy accurately.
🏆 TAaaS is NOT about placements, it is NOT high volume. TAaaS is exceptional consultancy that looks beyond the number of hires. TAaaS is the new recruitment consultancy of today, encompassing People + Automation + Process. TAaaS is a full consultancy offering through fractional experts, embedded into your business to stand-up a new capability, hand-over and leave when done. And yes, recruitment of your minimal viable team is included.
